We are holding a family birthday party for my son, who’s turning 3, and three of the guests (his cousins) are boys aged, 6, 12 and 13. My son’s favorite thing right now is Nemo, so that’s the theme of his party, but I’m sure these older boys won’t want any of the traditional Nemo favors.
I’m having a tough time thinking of cheap (and I mean cheap) favors for boys these ages. I don’t want to spend much on favors (like, a couple of dollars a bag). I know candy is a must, but beyond that, what else would boys these ages like as inexpensive favors?
Possibilities we’re kicking around: sports trading cards, hackey sacks, personalized CD’s (that we burn and place their name on). . . would 13-yr ancient’s be into any of these? And what about the 6-year ancient?
Need suggestions from anyone with insight about what boys like at these ages. Thank you!

the cd thing is a fantastic thought..find out what their favorite bands are and burn some songs on them..that would be fantastic for the 13 year ancient…how about going to like mcdonalds or burger king and getting a five dollar gift cert for them…the six year ancient how about the stretchy bugs,stickers,pokemon or yu-gi-oh cards,sports cards are excellent.,slinkys,paddle balls,small matchbox cars…do you have a dollar store near you?thats where i buy alot of my party favors…you can get a bag of different things then spilt them amongst the party guests…oh bouncy balls are fantastic too.
