A Cinderella Fairytale Wedding
A pure white dress, flowing down to the floor, a train of endless length following gracefully behind, the veil placed strategically under a crown fit for a queen. This is our Princess, and this is her fairytale wedding.
Just imagine walking into a ballroom draped in exquisite gold fabrics and a red carpet leading down to two thrones in the middle. Gold and silver chairs on both sides of the long red carpet. The carpet comes to an end at three steps leading up to a platform of gold and white, two tall thrones, decorated in jewels and dark colored cushions, sitting side-by-side, the prince standing before the left throne. A grand organ in the back right corner of the ballroom plays the wedding theme as the princess makes her way down the carpet, her long train following behind.
She is wearing a flowing gown, a long veil, a gold crown on top of the veil. She is simple, yet elegant, with a gold necklace around her neck, decorated with a charm, or maybe she prefers a stunning Victorian inspired pearl necklace set. The dress is white, maybe with a gold trim, white strapped heels decorate her feet. A gorgeous bouquet of white roses (bridal white signifies pleased like), a small gold ribbon keeps these roses bundled together.
The bridesmaids to the right are dressed in light colored Victorian ball gowns, long gloves matching their gowns, and each one is holding a single yellow rose in their hand (a yellow rose means “I care”, and signifies friendship), the groomsmen to the left in white gloves and tuxes, all standing in front of the platform, but not blocking the stairs up. Victorian style jewelry would be perfect for these gorgeous bridesmaids. The prince is dressed in a tux as well, with white gloves on, but unlike his groomsmen, he has one white rose pinned to the front of his tux.
The couple give their final kiss, and turn to their audience. As the ceremony comes to a close, the couple walk side by side down the long red carpet, white rice being tossed into the air, not at our couple, and they go outside to be greeted by two white horses, and a round white carriage. The couple ride off in this Cinderella style carriage.
For the after party of the pleased couple, the fairytale can be carried over to the wedding reception. The room can be costumed in a Victorian ball style; gold, deep red, and white would be the ideal colors. The tables can be draped in deep red cloth with gold trim, white plates on top, a bouquet of white and red roses (these two colors combined symbolize unity) in gold vases in the center of each table.
The tables all surround a dance floor in the middle of the room, white and red rose petals scattered across, this will be where the couple shall share their first dance as a married couple and it should be special. A small stage beside the dance floor would be perfect for a small band.
Most importantly, the couple, as well as their guests, should delight in themselves, so dance the night away! Don’t forget to thank your guests with Fairytale Wedding Favors so they’ll always remember your happily every after fairytale wedding.

Have you ever been to a Cinderella or Fairytale style Wedding?
My girls are wearing baby blue dresses and multi pastel bouquets…I’m so excited!
If so…what was done right or incorrect?
Definatly classy! Just touches of the theme…Ie: Glass Slipper Ice Sculpture, Castle Cake, Table Names (Cinderella, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother…etc) I’m wearing a ball gown…etc…
I’m also having a birdcage w/ two blue birds & ribbons for cards.
My Save the Dates, Shower Invites & Wedding Invites are all Cinderella too.
KIRK S.–You’re an idiot and I’ll have you know–DF has been really supportive and thinks the thought is unique & romantic as does all his friends. The question is how ancient are you 6? lol You’re suppose to make YOUR wedding day your own? Then again you seem as if you’ll be single for life! JERK!
It was really gorgeous and of course it was right.
I really loved it ♥

i would like too go but i haven’t. but one thing that i reckon that could go incorrect it making it look cheesy. you have to be careful that you don’t go over the top. you have to make it a fairytale with elegance.

I had the chimes of the chapel I was married in play Canterbury Chimes, which is what Cinderella and Prince Charming walked down the steps into their carriage, too. We had a carriage as well, our wedding was outside, but those were the only references to Cinderella we had. I reckon if you do it in a subtle way, it makes it very romantic, and not overdone. Take small things, like the flowers, or having a carriage, and add those to the wedding, it will be Gorgeous!

My aunt’s wedding had a very subtle Fairytale theme. The invitations had the castle and a white knight… that same picture was carried to the napkins at the table… she wore a full ballgown… I reckon the cake topper was the castle again.

Never been to one, but had one! We had a 17th Century/Fairytale wedding in a castle. All of our guests said it was the neatest, most unique wedding they had been to. What we did incorrect?.. quill pen, very messy
go with a faux quill! What we did right? Stuck to what to we wanted even if others didn’t know at the time. In the end, everyone loved it.

I went to my cousin’s wedding a few years back. The wedding ceremony was in the church, and the reception was at a vineyard. It was gorgeous. She had a small band playing, and dancing. The guests were shuttled from the hotel to the vineyard because of the directions. We didn’t have to worry about driving! Guess this was more like a Princess type wedding. Instead of giving a small gift to the guests for attending, they donated that money to one of her husband’s work charities for children.

No, but I’ve Like to go to see what the guy was like!
