My small 6 yr ancient wanted to invite her entire class for a b’day party. There will also be the parents and some siblings as well. Being that I’m budget conscious, is it rude or poor etiquette to not hand out party favors? From past experience, it just ends up on the floor or the landfill.

I plot on feeding all 54 guests (27 children/ 27 adults) as well. There will be appetizers, pizza, cake and bottled juices/water/sodas. The venue is at an indoor playnasium, where they charge $7 per child admission.

So, party favors or not?

No, can you remember ANY of the giftbags you used to get at parties?

Place a bowl of candy out for the kids to grab on their way out
or even popcorn!

My daughter is in preschool. Her class will be having a small something for her at the end of the week. I am already going to send her with homemade chocolate dipped pretzels with sprinkles for the "party favor".

I want to do something different than cake or cupcakes…ANY Thoughts???

make sure that you can bring home made snacks to your childs school, I am in Minnesota but I know that they do not want home made snacks brought in.

kids at that age like the cupcake stuff.. but my kids always want to bring fruit in with them for their days..

My party is going be at our country club. its an all-girls luncheon and about 32 girls are coming. i want it to be really nice and classy. at first, i wanted to get the new vera wang princess perfume for everyone cause i like the smell and the bottles are ahhhdorable, but that would be super expensive. i like the color purple and so i already got personalized white and purple m&Ms in a white cellophane bag with purple ribbon for everyone, but i feel like i need something else. itd be cool if the favors could have a seating card attached to them (like with the perfume, i could tie a white card with everyones name around the top)

I got married 3 years ago and I loved plotting our wedding and helping my friends get ready for their own. Sometimes you just need an outsiders unbiased opinion. So…question away.

I would say a craft store or a party supply store or even a wedding store. . .

might be able to find a fantastic book on this stuff too. . .
